Before being wheeled onto a cruise ship to Alaska with two of my besties from Ottawa, Ontario, I finally got to meet up with my publisher Megan Williams, CEO of The Self Publishing Agency (TSPA) in my hometown of Vancouver, BC.

Since signing up with TSPA in August 2023 to publish my memoir entitled Becoming Comfortably Numb: A Memoir on Brain-Mending, TSPA matched me with a crackerjack editor. She asked all the right questions, chopped and fine-tuned the manuscript, and even asked for more words in a few cases.

Then Megan’s gang found me a designer to produce a fantastic cover and beautiful layout (see below) and finally, helped me make my own key publishing, marketing and book launch decisions.

The result? Get ready Amazon and Indigo — my story of forty years of hope and healing after stroke should be out in September, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Bruyère Foundation, which provides superb stroke rehabilitation in the Ottawa area.

If not for them, Megan/TSPA and the village of friends, family and healthcare pros who continue to help me thrive, I would not still be here, and publishing my story. So, if you or your caregiver live with a difficult chronic health issue and need some inspiration, this book is for you. So thanks Megan — my publisher sister!

Best Always,

Cathy 😎
